WHAT YOU NEED:

 

  • Your Bike

  • ANT+ enabled heart rate monitor/chest strap

  • Cycling clothing (shorts and jersey/t-sirt)

  • Cycling shoes

  • Towel

  • Water bottles, food and gels if needed

  • We sync all your sessions to your Strava and Training Peaks account

WE TRAIN WITH POWER

Power meters continue to be widely used in the professional ranks of cycling and triathlon across the world. Training with power enables cyclists and triathletes to gather more knowledge about their riding, improve communication with coaches and enables a more focused specificity to training efforts.

Training (and racing) with power enables athletes:

  • to prepare and train precisely for the demands specific to race day;

  • to improve pacing for steady state races, in particular time trials or triathlon events;

  • to establish current fitness and track performance changes;

  • to quantify the intensity of effort which is, the most important factor in training;

  • to plan training blocks and organise their racing season;

  • to measure and track changes to fitness;

  • to improve efficiency on the bike and make every pedal stroke count.

 

SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO TRAINING

We employ the latest in technology to quantify and record training performance. Every session can be automatically sent via email or uploaded to training applications such as Strava and Trainingpeaks. Using the data in this way allows us to measure and more importantly track an athlete’s progression and training performance.

USE YOUR OWN BIKE

Athletes use their own bikes during each session. This has a number of benefits to improved performance since each session is specific to each individual rider. There is no need to adjust saddle or handlebar height. Therefore each session allows every athlete to dial into exactly how they feel during each effort on their own bike.

Indoor Cycling

An instructor led cycling session.

 

This programming will be periodized for performance improvement through individualized workouts.

 

During the winter classes will take place indoors using your bicycle on a Computrainer Lab edition trainer.

 

We will also offer outdoor training rides in the summer.

Strength & Mobility

Instructor-led classes designed to improve your strength and mobility.

 

Over time, strength training will enhance your performance on the bike, and contribute to general well-being in other aspects your life.
